Details for the Global Slag Photography Competition 2017
First prize is US$250 and second prize is US$125. The winner, second place and other commended entries will be published in Global Cement Magazine and may also be featured in other media. The deadline for entries is 30 April 2017.
Terms of entry for the Global Slag Photography Competition 2017
Each individual may enter up to five photographs for the competition. Every entry must be accompanied by a separate MS Word document stating the following:
-- Photographer's name, company and contact details (email, postal address);
-- Location of the subject;
-- Any additional information that might have been of interest about the subject of the photo.
The photos should be on the topic of slag - slag pours, slag granulation, slag use - slag anything! Technical prowess and the attractiveness of the final image will used to decide upon the winner. Upright ('portrait') format photos are preferred, but 'landscape' format photos are also elegible. Digital dates on photos are not required (but they do not invalidate an entry - we can erase them very easily!)
Entry is simple and free: Please send your entry (digital only, JPG, RAW or Tiff format) by email to rob@propubs.com. The subject line must be as follows: 'Global Slag Photo Competition' (otherwise it risks being junked by our spam filters!). Files must be above 500kb but must be below 5Mb in compressed size. Good luck!
Rules and conditions
- Copyright of the photos remains with the photographer.
- By entering the competition, the photographer allows the reproduction of the image by Pro Global Media Ltd in its magazines, and in other media, without charge, in perpetuity.
- The winner of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of US$250. The second placed image will be awarded a prize of US$125.
- The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
